Honors & Experience

Meghan is a proficient attorney who has experience as trial counsel in medical negligence and wrongful death cases in counties across the state of Ohio and has successfully advocated for her clients at the appellate level in both the Eighth and Third Appellate Districts. In recognition of her outstanding legal work, Meghan has been selected by her peers each year as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in the area of medical malpractice since 2016, a distinction only 2.5% of lawyers can claim. Meghan has served on the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys Board of Directors since May 2019 and joined the Cleveland-Marshall Law Alumni Association Board as a Trustee in June 2021.

Meghan graduated from Miami University in May 2010 where she obtained a degree in business economics and marketing. Her background in business has proved invaluable and has better enabled her to analyze each case with a fair, focused eye and pursue long- and short-term goals, strategies, and outcomes for her clients.

Meghan recognized her desire to pursue a career as a trial lawyer while as an extern for the Honorable Judge James S. Gwin in the United States District Court Northern District of Ohio. Shortly thereafter, she discovered her passion for representing victims of medical negligence while clerking at another boutique civil litigation firm in Cleveland, Ohio. Exposure to this area of law made her realize the importance of holding individuals in a position of power and trust accountable for their actions and how much people need our voice to bring them justice.

Community Involvement

Attorney Lewallen’s dedication to justice is also evident in her community involvement. Meghan serves on the Ambassador’s Committee for The First Tee of Cleveland, a non-profit national organization that serves its local communities by shaping the lives of the city’s youth from all walks of life by reinforcing values like integrity, respect, and perseverance through the game of golf. Meghan is also a member of the Associate Board at the West Side Catholic Center, which provides individuals and families in need with food, clothing, shelter, and advocacy on their journey to become self-sufficient, contributing members of society.

In her free time, Meghan enjoys golfing, skiing, reading, and traveling. She is also an avid Cleveland sports fan dedicated to the Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers.
